Going CocoNUTS on a Coconut!!!!! Make sure you watch this video below. It is Crazy but funny!

Shelley has soon become an expert Coconut cracker. I was in disbelief video taping her doing this, but so glad I did… this is kind of how it started…

Back in 2011, my travel buddy Shelley and I joined a Live Love Laugh Tour to Thailand and Bali. As I mentioned my posts are not in order and I am starting with a story from Ubud, Bali. We were very fortunate to have stayed at one of the most special boutique hotels ever! SRI RATIH COTTAGES. The service was t0p notch, the beautiful ambiance, the food, the experiences were extraordinary.

The staff were so gracious and warm, it felt like I was staying with family. It is definitely a place I highly recommend for anyone to experience. I have more stories to share about this very special place. These are a couple photos of the best staff ever!

Back to the coconut chopping.. this is how it started…..

The first day we arrived, the staff was going to prepare a special welcome dinner for our Live Love Laugh Group along with traditional authentic Balinese show. How spectacular! Shelly is one to REALLY immerse herself into the culture of anywhere we travel to and decided to pitch in with the preparations.

They barbequed over 100 Chicken and Pork Satay… sooooo delicious, I can still remember how yummy it was! These are some of the hard-working crew.

Most important, was preparing a special fresh coconut refreshment, which meant they had to crack open lots and lots of coconuts!

Here’s John joining in for a picture, but Shelley gets all the credit for helping the crew out. While at it, she enjoyed eating up lots of the fresh coconut fruit! Doesn’t get any better than that. You can clearly see how happy she was with her fill of coconut and so were we! This was just the beginning of our journey in Ubud… stay tuned for more REALLY funny and entertaining stories I will share!
